According to the report, “By 2020, 60% of organizations that provide public APIs will establish the role of API product manager. By 2020, 75% of organizations deploying APIs will establish an API mediation layer. By 2021, 65% of new applications will be built as a mesh of multichannel apps and multigrained back-end services that communicate via APIs.”
